To obtain, renew or remarket an insurance product and/or assist the client and assess their ongoing insurance needs, ensure your information is up-to-date and to protect the Broker and/or Insurer against inaccuracy a broker will need to collect personal information about the client. The Broker will only collect, use, and disclose such personal information in such a manner that a reasonable person would consider appropriate under the circumstances.
Information Collected
The Broker may collect the following information, depending on the type of insurance that is required:
- Basic information such as name, address, telephone/contact number, fax number, email address, driver's license number, birthdate, and marital status
- Employment Information
- Driver's Record
- Claims History
- Credit and past payment records
- Medical Information
- Financial Information
- Details about client home
- Details about client vehicle
The Broker may disclose client personal information to the following third parties:
- Insurance Companies
- Other insurance brokers or agents
- Financial Institutions
- Credit Organizations
- Medical Professionals
- Professionals working on behalf of the broker or insurer such as adjusters and lawyers
- Employer of the client (commercial policies only)

The Broker may obtain client personal information from the following third parties:

Protection of Personal Information
To protect the client's personal information and right to privacy, the Broker will:
Withdrawal of Consent
- Not collect, use, or disclose personal information for any purpose other than those that we identify to the client, unless required by law
- Keep client's personal information for as long as we need it to fulfill the stated purpose or as required by law
- Maintain client's personal information in an accurate, complete and up-to-date manner
- Safeguard client's personal information to the best of our ability
- Respond to any request the client makes to access or correct their personal information
- Obtain appropriate consent for the collection, use or disclosure of personal information
Withdrawal of Consent
The client may refuse to consent to the collection, use or disclosure of personal information. The client may also withdraw a previously given consent at any time. However, refusal to provide consent or a future withdrawal of consent may result in the Broker's inability to provide insurance to the client.
